Putting It Into Practice:
ReThinking Anti-racism Framework
This process is designed to work with participants of previous anti-racism training (ours/others).
Learning does not start and stop with the training sessions.
Participants have shared their struggle with integrating and incorporating
a racial equity and social justice framework into practice for years.
Gathering with others who are committed to doing the work will inspire members of your collective. We work on translating knowledge, skills, and understanding of racial equity and social justice into actionable results. The process will support participants in their awareness and belief that they consciously know is true; they have a role to play in individual and systemic change.

Throughout the process, we will examine how our own blind spots on social, cultural & political issues are impacting our inability to come together as an organized collective and work to "put into practice" critical discussions needed to create strategies on how to best improve the quality of life for the most directly impacted communities.

The Anti-Racist Praxis Framework, a model for program planning processes, involves constructing, deconstructing, and reconstructing planning activities. Through this process we foster critical reflection to action: the framework requires the process of reflecting, negotiating, and analyzing past decisions, activities, and future actions.
We will introduce and encourage the creation of Anti-Racist Guiding Principles as a blueprint for action. Principles can help to define parameters within which policies, rules, and processes are developed, taking into account the roles and specific circumstances of your organization.
